TRIGUN creator Yasuhiro Nightow at Anime Central 2007

Yasuhiro Nightow’s Trigun mangaYasuhiro Nightow, creator of Trigun and character designer of Gungrave will be attending Anime Central 2007 in Chicago, Illinois, May 11-13, 2007!

An excerpt from Anime Central 2007’s guest list: “Today, he is best known as the writer and artist of Trigun, which first appeared in the February 1995 issue of Tokuma Shoten’s Shounen Captain magazine. It is currently serialized as Trigun Maximum within Young King Ours magazine, published by Shonen Gahosha.

Dark Horse Comics publishes the manga in the United States, and earlier compiled the Tokuma Shoten manga into two volumes. In 1998, TV Tokyo aired Madhouse’s 26-episode animated adaptation of Trigun, which Pioneer (now Geneon) released in the United States in 2003 (and Cartoon Network began airing around the same time). Mr. Nightow is also known as the creator and character designer of the Gungrave video game series, which inspired Madhouse’s popular 2003-2004 animated TV series of the same name.”

We’ll be providing full-coverage of Anime Central this year (we also covered ACEN 2006 last year), and I hope to score an interview with Mr. Nightow! :)

I love anime. Specifically, series involving any of the following things: weird fantasy elements, super-powers, robots, aliens, wicked humor, crazy villains, horror, ninjas and samurai. I guess that means I like a lot of anime.
