ACen, aka Anime Central (Chicago, May 11th-13th, 2007), is the first big anime convention of the season for Dave and I. I’m thinking that it’ll also be the first big con of the season for many Midwesterners as well (it IS – after all – the biggest con in the Mid-west).
We’re starting to get our crew together to head on up to Chicago come May and we’re also trying to figure out what to wear (i.e. cosplay or no cosplay). My opinion on cosplay has definitely changed over the year (I still really dislike crappy cosplays, sorry) but I still won’t cosplay myself. I will however, loli it up in a Rachel original. I’m sure it’ll incur the ire of many a hard core lolita, but, meh, I’m making it mine baby!
Zingor is thinking of cosplaying (I hope you do girl!) but I’m dubious as to Dave and Chikashi. Who else is cosplaying at ACen and what are you cosplaying as?

For the most part the Chicago scene has always been cool 
If I can manage, I am going to cosplay with my doll. I have started making some props, but who knows if I’ll be finished in time.
As of last year, I thought cosplay was the stupidest thing ever XD!
-Zingor, I think you should be finished if you do a lil’ at a time whenever you get a chance. You sew fairly quickly, unlike me, so your costumes should be done within a month, don’t ya think?

HAHAHA!!! That was funny Rachel! OK, I’ll be going to the fabric store on Monday (day off). I’m on a mission now. Thanks for having that much faith in me. We’ll see if I can live up to that.
What will you cosplay as? And David?
I’m not technically cosplaying, -greg. I do have a Japanese fashion style that I’ll be wearing that would be apropos. You remember my Queen of Hearts dress? Yeah, that style, but I’m not saying what color or style it’ll be till I’m almost done with it. I don’t wanna jinx myself >< . As for Dave…I’m thinking maybe not, but I can’t speak for him 100% on the subject.
