Anime-Styled Batman: Gotham Knight Website Launched

Posted by: David In: Anime News

Now with cool Batman Anime Widget Action™!

The anime-styled Batman: Gotham Knight website is now operational! See Batman in all his anime glory! The DVD hits on July 8, 2008. There’s some interesting stuff on the site, however I was disappointed that the downloads section isn’t yet live. Anyway, the bat-widget has the full trailer and lets you add it to your own website/social network.

You can also join the Batman: Gotham Knight Anime on Facebook! While you’re there, be sure to join The Anime Blog on Facebook too!

So what do you think about a mainstream anime-style Batman film? Will it generate additional interest in anime, kinda like the anime-style Matrix film The Animatrix did?

  1. Yes, it is the same style as The Animatrix… I saw it, but it is not very my style… I mean the style of animation, where the persons look too tall and thin. It is so unnatural to me…

I watched it online at http://www.fluffypress.com/tv-movies/batman-gotham-knight , to tell the truth its not that great. Nevertheless, american aint it?? HAHAA. The main reason was just to see how american idea and japanese drawing goes together.

  3. David says:

Susan – What did you think about the stories in ‘Batman: Gotham Knight’?

Indo – Did you have any major likes/dislikes? I’d recommend picking up the dvd – it’s a much better experience with high-quality sound and video. Plus, there are a few cool extras. I’m actually a little behind on a review of the disk.
