YouTube is hosting full episodes of the following Funimation anime series: Blue Gender, Kiddy Grade, Peach Girl and Slayers. I guess it’s part of the ongoing battle against illegal anime downloads (i.e. BLASSREITER on Crunchyroll.com)

Funimation Anime Series on Youtube!

You won't embed my anime videos!
I noticed one odd detail, and this is the first time I’ve seen this on YouTube – the embed feature has been disabled, which means you can’t embed the shows on your website (see the proof in the screenshot. Weird! Anyway, here are the shows (with links to each playlist):
Oh, and here’s the original announcement that caught my eye. So be sure to check them out, then come right back here and let us know what you think!

I love anime. Specifically, series involving any of the following things: weird fantasy elements, super-powers, robots, aliens, wicked humor, crazy villains, horror, ninjas and samurai. I guess that means I like a lot of anime. I am pretty particular about the quality of animation and voice acting. If the character designs and animation quality aren't of über-quality, I quickly loose interest. The first anime-related series I ever watched was Battle of the Planets - otherwise known as Gatachman. The first true theatrical anime feature film I saw was Akira. My first exposure to manga was later in life when I read Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy.There are so many incredible elements of Japanese culture. Some of the most exciting to me are the style of design and storytelling. I'm a web designer & illustrator, and I find myself looking to Japanese design for inspiration all the time.Anime blogging has taught me even more about Japanese culture and anime than I ever expected, and I continue to learn more every week. In fact, I'd love to travel to Japan. Rachel and I hope to visit sometime within the next few years.
USA only, again. >_> (Though I’m sure they’re all dubs so it’s for the better.)
Well, I think that Gonzo did perform rather well with Blassreiter and Druaga by putting them on Youtube. I don’t know about their sales, though. I don’t know what will happen with Funimation, but I hope it’s going to be well too.
If they did, then they will get what they deserved, profit that comes from DVD sales, not from TV broadcast. Everything will be fine maybe if fansubs would put their hands off the DVD releases.
dubs warning!!
kuromitsu – Yes, they are all dubs so far. I should have said that in the post.
Kresnik – I think it will be good for them. The quality is good enough to watch for free, but if you like the show, there’s incentive to go buy it.
desu – That’s a very good point. There are no subtitle options for those of you who don’t like dubs.
