@sally, these mimosa are also called "sensitive plants". I tried growing one waaaayyy back, before my green thumb developed. Unfortunately, I killed the poor guy.I found some good info on sensitive plants at Dave's Garden and here. Check it out, and good luck with your plant!

For the possible connection to “Origin” and the website http://www.ticklemeplant.com Where I was able to get these “sentient plants” as gifts for some of my Anime friends.

Has anyone else on line grown these plants that move when you tickle them. I would like to hear from you about how to grow them.

I don’t believe there is a direct connection. However, “Origin Spirits of the Past” does deal with plants. Specifically, the story features genetically enhanced, sentient trees. I suppose that these plants (because they move), have some similarities to the trees in “Origin”.

Help! Can anyone tell me why they gave out (Mimosa pudica) TickleMe Plant seeds at the Anime convention this last weekend in New York. The seed packet highlights “Origin Spirits of the Past” on the package. What is the connection with these tickleme plants and Origin. Can anyone tell me where to get more tickleme plants. These sensitive plants move when you tickle them…how cool is that …thanks
