Bandai Visual USA titles will still be sold through their own online service (dot-anime.us website). Bandai Visual has recently launched a new label called Honneamise. Looking at their product line, it looks like it will be replacing the Bandai Visual label.

beside all above, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san Light Novels Get Flash Anime !!! i just read the news in dormitory.com
thanks for the info^^
I wish Geneon would begin licensing Anime again. They had my favorite Voice Actors! Michelle Ruff, Wendee Lee, Steven Blum, Crispin Freeman, Yuri Lowenthal. T_T
I already got this news from anime.dormitory.com .
I wish a lot of things were different now in the domestic side of anime, too, guys.
I’ve been looking at and collecting anime for the better part of 20 years now.
Never have I seen so much available in the States as there is now, and never have I seen fandom and industry at such a low-point, too.
Let’s face it — most anime fans are flakes and fandom-at-large is fickle and faddish.
The best-selling anime rarely gets above 20,000 units disc sales and many titles languish and just don’t sell out for years, if ever…
Both the Internet and declining DVD sales have contributed to the near-collapse of the home market. It’s so easy for many people to bootleg and they think they’re doing everyone else a big favor by posting fansubs of R2 titles or rips of the week’s current new R1 releases.
Both rabid and faddish fandom are doing the industry in.
Likewise, the Japanese and American licensees have to get smarter about both distribution and how they market product — like 3-5 years ago!
I doubt anime will disappear ever completely but it certainly has to change in the way it satisfies demand and gets distributed. The DVD//Blu ray distribution is broken as is… There will always be those of us who want the higher-quality of a home release and are willing to pay a (reasonable) price for it and then there will always be cheapskates willing to skirt around the law to get something for free, too. It’s the latter creating most of the problems no in addition to general managerial incompetence at higher levels of production and the oversaturation of the market over the past decade or so with inferior shows and movies.
P.S. — I miss the old Pioneer Anime, too. When it became Geneon, that’s when things went downhill. Not missing so much CPM, Urban Vision, or Synch Point. They never released much on DVD worth buying. Glad to see ADV morph into SentaiFilms/Section 23 but if they had been better-managed a reorganization wouldn’t have been necessary in the first place!
