So the Hellsing Ultimate Volume 3 anime dvd has been delayed…due to production problems. I remember when Volume one took forever to come out in Japan – I think it was delayed 3 times or so! The original release date in Japan was February 9, 2007, which they won’t hit.

I love anime. Specifically, series involving any of the following things: weird fantasy elements, super-powers, robots, aliens, wicked humor, crazy villains, horror, ninjas and samurai. I guess that means I like a lot of anime. I am pretty particular about the quality of animation and voice acting. If the character designs and animation quality aren't of über-quality, I quickly loose interest.The first anime-related series I ever watched was Battle of the Planets - otherwise known as Gatachman. The first true theatrical anime feature film I saw was Akira. My first exposure to manga was later in life when I read Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy.There are so many incredible elements of Japanese culture. Some of the most exciting to me are the style of design and storytelling. I'm a web designer & illustrator, and I find myself looking to Japanese design for inspiration all the time.Anime blogging has taught me even more about Japanese culture and anime than I ever expected, and I continue to learn more every week. In fact, I'd love to travel to Japan. Rachel and I hope to visit sometime within the next few years.
Yah, I was just talking to a Geneon rep about this yesterday. Apparently the factory problems were also affected production of Disgaea and Hellsing volume 1 (in turn causing a delay in our Disgaea and Hellsing contests). But, they say they have it under control, and are getting it fixed ASAP. They’re a good company, so I’m not too concerned
Yeah, I remember the first volume of Hellsing kept getting pushed back in Japan. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long!
Damn straight we better not wait too long -David!! It’s bad enough waiting a year per volume of the manga, I’ll be damned if I have to go through that for the OVA ><.
Yea the wait on the mangas is ridiculous Rachel, although there are scanslations out there already of Volumes 8,9 and the first few chapters of 10 for die hard fans. I think once Kouta finishes the series as far as the manga goes things should get a tad bit better. I don’t really know how lol, but part of the problem with the original anime was they started it before the books were finished and in doing so missed most of the storyline. Now I know that won’t happen with the OVA of course, but still. And the first Volume of the OVA in Japan was only pushed back a few times I believe, from early December to a February 5th Release…..I wonder when OVA Volume 2 will come out over here…

with the OVAs didn’t OVA 2 come out in august or September or something? and i highly doubt that OVA3 will be pushed back to June you know not saying that any said that. But i think the farthest it would be pushed back would be early April; which does suck but oh well. But the delay of the manga is just ridiculous i’d say.
we just have to wait…and the problem was that damn alexander figurine!! that’s the reason why we are not getting the new ova yet…at least the manga is still growing up.
Ah, so that’s why the first anime series sucked at the end, -LordSeffy, they let the anime progress without the manga. Figures…
I guess I’m not that much of a diehard fan to read scanslations. I’m old school in the sense that I need to hold the manga in order to enjoy it. I sit on my ass in front of the ‘puter enough as it is to convince me to not read a manga doing the same thing.
We all love Hellsing, -Mergan ^.^/. What’s not to love except for delayed production in the OVA and manga?
Yeah, wassup with the manga taking so long to translate, -Ando? It is frick’n ridiculous to wait a year or more for the manga. WTF?!
-Alucard, please elaborate on “that damn Alexander figurine!!” I’m not up to date on what the hold up is…Is the figurine being sold with the OVA or something?

Anyway, supposedly the OVA itself is done, but the Limited Edition was supposed to ship with this Anderson figure. And the factory that’s making the figures is behind schedule.
New release date seems to be 4 April. Soon there
