Tokyopop has a pair of contests. However, they both require the contestant to do more than just send in an entry form.
First, Tokyopop has teamed with Glico for an art contest. The entry has to be an original piece of artwork or a 1 to 3 panel comic which includes images of Pocky. The grand prize is $1000 cash. 4 runners up will also receive a prize which is a$20 Borders gift card.
RULES:
- The contestant must have a Tokyopop profile (which is free)
- Each image must be at least 1,500 pixels by 2,100 pixels (aka 5″ x 7″ at 300 DPI)
- The image(s) must be in JPEG format
- The total file size of the submission must not exceed 10 MB
The contest is open to residents of the US and the District of Columbia 13 years and older. Entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm PDT on July 1, 2009. For full details read the Official Rules.
The other contest is being presented by Rui, a production artist with Tokyopop. He has called the contest “Show Your Otaku Room“. As the name suggests, the contestant has to send in a photo of their otaku room. The three prizes are from Rui’s personal collection:
- A Loveless shikishi board signed by author Yun Kouga
- A Saiyuki Reload shikish board signed by author Minekura Kazuya
- A Battle Vixens poster signed by author Yuji Shiozaki
RULES:
- The image must of the contestant’s personal ‘otaku’ room
- The contestant (but no-one else) may be in the image
- The preferred resolution is 5″ x 7″ at 72 DPI
- The image(s) must be in JPEG format
- The total file size of the submission must not exceed 2.5 MB
The contest is open to residents of the US and the District of Columbia 13 years and older. Entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm PDT on June 19, 2009. For full details read the Official Rules.
Viz Media’s weekly Naruto Shippuden Watch & Win contest continues. This time they have partnered with TOMY. This week’s contest will have 15 winners and the prize is Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Council 4, a Nintendo DS game.. The winners will be drawn from the list of entries which had the correct answer to the trivia question.
RULES: The contest is open to residents of the US and Canada (excluding Quebec) 16 years and older. To enter, just answer the trivia question and fill out the entry form.
