I think in Japan they force the blueberries to produce a bit earlier so they wont get hit by the rains later in the season. Blueberries, north american natives, usually ripen around July which I think is when it rains most in japan? Thats what I read anyway.

Those things are delicious, have wonderful high quality natural tasting ingredients, and I’ve been craving them ever since I ate that one my friend tossed me. next year, I suppose -_-

I’ve only seen the strawberry ones- god after reading one of your older reviews about the mini boxes of Meji chocolate – I tried it out and it was great I would guess that this product is great too ^0^

@usagijen, ask your boss if he can get his hands on some yatsuhashi! Oh, and maybe some dagashi. I just had a friend who was in Japan and he hooked me up with some Japanese KitKats. Anko KitKat= Yummy! Here’s hoping you can get some good candy!!

@Dorne, yes, apparently Hokkaido is this vast farm area. They’re also known for dairy as well as blueberries.

This box wasn’t too dear- it ran me $3.50 in St. Louis. I’ve also seen this in strawberry/ white chocolate as well. Amazon is selling both, but the price is stupid high:
