@WaffoCellist, Thanks for the heads up! How much was the pack going for?

I’ll probably be seeing this newer version some time in December- living in the Midwest makes getting the latest fads and trends difficult, but it gets here eventually! What are your thoughts on the pumpkin?

I just went to my local J-town here in San Jose, CA to buy some tako for takoyaki tomorrow. I was ready to pay my final purchases when I spotted the 2008 version of the Lovely Halloween Pumpkin Pocky! It comes in a large cup (sort of like the size cup for a small/medium popcorn cup from the movie theater) with a clear top to see the individual Pocky packets (10 individual packs). The packaging is pretty cute (pocky stiks that look like a picket fence with a large pumpkin in front).

Sorry I am unable to upload a photo but if you are in the San Jose area, check out the Nijiya Market in J-Town. They also had special Pucca Halloween packages as well, but I broke the bank when I bought 3 of these Lovely Halloween Packs.

@Stephanie, I bought this at a Chinese grocery store (Olive Farmers Market) in Saint Louis. I’m sure they’d sell it in lots, but this was bought in 2007.

My advice is to check out your local Asian grocery stores if you have ‘em, and ask them if they’ll be getting any of this this year. These were imported about a month or two after Halloween.

Another good bet would be to check out Amazon- they seem to carry a lot of the stuff I’d buy.

I found a really cool site that has Halloween Projectors that you can use to project halloween images onto your house. They have one that projects animated Halloween laser movies too. Pretty cool! Check them out at Holiday Projectors

@Sasuke, they are awesome, and you can buy the regular flavors of pumpkin, strawberry and milk year round. Check out a major local Asian grocery in your area if you’re interested in getting your hands on the variety pack. Our local Chinese grocery mart started to step up the Japanese goody section. Now, it’s huge!
