@Chris N, The snack you described is one I’ve seen at a Korean grocery store. Unfortunately ever time I’m on that side of town, I’m there on business and can’t purchase one (or two, or three) to bring home and snack on T_T.

@griever, yessss, perhaps the Christmas tai will deliver one of those nifty pans to Rachel this year; I hear she’s been ever so good *cough* David*cough*hint, hint*cough*.

The waffle ice cream thing Chris mentioned is awesome. That’s one of my favorite snacks.

Taiyaki is delicious. They sell pans here – you might be able to buy them from an online store and make the soft pancake/chocolate custard version yourself, if you want. (ekitron has it for $22+shipping…not bad!)

Oh wow. I need to stop at Nijiya tonight My wife picked up a couple snacks like these before, but they weren’t as large as that fish appears to be. There’s another one you might be interested in, which is like a reverse waffle filled with ice cream and dipped in chocolate. So tasty.
