It’s Vision of Escaflowne: Volumes 2-5 and 7-8 that catches my eye please.
There’s a lot of good but stereotypical-story mechas out there *coughs Gundam coughs* – but having enjoyed the out-of-the-norm RahXephon and Eureka Seven shows, I’d love to try this famous fantasy/mecha series. Even it’s from the 90s.
Eh, I can’t say bad about 90s shows actually… even if the animation’s old, there’s some really good stories. Miyazaki’s movies, Crest & Banner of the Stars, Legend of Galactic Heroes… and if reviews say Escaflowne is also fantastical, then I’m dying to see it too. =)
