The Bishis are Back! The Wallflower, Complete Collection, Part One Is In Stores Now! Win the First Volume (Episodes 1-5)!!!

It was a dark day when I learned the four fair bishis and scary goth gal of the hilarious comedy, The Wallflower, might not make it onto my anime shelf due to distributing issues. But Funimation has picked up the tattered hopes of the series’ fans and is releasing the complete collection of The Wallflower in two parts.

Part One is in stores now and Part Two is slated for release at the end of March. Part One is the combination of the first three volumes of the anime and contains episodes one through thirteen.

I’ve already rated the first three volumes, so check out my reviews of this crazy, good-natured poke at the shoujo genre!

    I was exposed to anime as a child while living in Germany after watching the Japanese version of Hans Christian Anderson’s the Little Mermaid. In high school, a classmate in art brought in Akira as an example of Japanese art. I wasn’t very impressed with anime at the time, but my re-exposure to it in 2000 thanks to Escaflowne had me hooked for life.After sorting out what I liked about anime (great stories, beautiful animation and epic battles) and disliked about anime (big boobs, angst-y 15 year-old kids, most mecha, sports stories and style-over-substance), I got into it with a vengeance.I do love almost all aspects of Japanese culture and try to be involved with it as much as possible. I have no problem admitting that I incorporate a lot of Japanese trends and traditions into my life as I modify them and make them my own. Anime is a big part of that, along with all the sub-cultures, past and present.

      The Wallflower!!! This is fate!! I love this series and anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, has to!! You will laugh until the bishis come home!!! LOL!! I know that after watching this series I developed a small fascination with Gothic Lolita Style…However, GULP! I can’t afford all the super cool and kawaii things I keep finding all over the net!!

      So, ONEGAI!! Allow me to win this DVD!! It will make me so happy and it will be the best way to celebrate Valentine’s day!!

      Oooo Kyouhei! I get to see you again my love. Im soo excited to see Ranmaru again and Yuki and..Takenaga! The little love between Kyouhei and Su-chan :] Goth Goth~ Loli Loli~ Lol I cant wait to see it all again and relive my favorite series! Woohoo~
