Creepy weird is to creepy for me, though I havent actually SEEN comic party revelution so...but I can't really say most anime are mudane except the ones that are JUST purely no magic or monsters, just romance and relation ships and characters. Genshiken is one of my favorite manga but some would say its bland or boring. I also like anime thats way out there example: Flcl and Abenobashi. But some of my most loved series blend seriousness and outlandish anime-esk antics example: Rurouni Kenshin or Fullmetal Alchemist. It all depends on the point of view of the viewer.
