The anime-inspired Nintendo DS game Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney (by Capcom) is coming to the iPhone, according to slidetoplay.com! Hopefully we’ll get a copy when it hits the iPhone App Store. Here are the details:
From slidetoplay.com:
Haven’t played the Phoenix Wright games on the Nintendo DS before? Objection! Soon you’ll have your chance, as the iPhone version, with all the same tough-to-crack cases as the first DS game, will be coming to the App Store soon…
From TUAW:
The terrific DS courtroom simulator (which, trust me, sounds much less fun than it actually is) Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney is coming to the iPhone…The game takes the two DS screens and stacks them on top of each other rather than converting the game into a landscape version, so it’s basically a straight port of the DS game…
Here’s a video clip of the game in action:
Are you a Phoenix Wright fan? If so, what do you think about an iPhone version?

I loved the DS version, but I think it’s pretty pointless to have an iPhone version with the exact same cases. It just doesn’t motivate me to get the game for my iPhone/iTouch, as a DS is just as mobile as an iPhone; assuming that the reason for creating an iPhone is for mobility and such. If the cases were brand new and different from the DS versions, then I might think about getting it.

Good point. I’m interested in it since I don’t have a Nintendo DS. It will be interesting to see how many people are new to the game vs. repeat buyers.
