Lesson 28 teaches the passive form — how Japanese talks about things that happen to you — built around the rareru ending. You'll learn iwareru (to be told), kikareru (to be asked), yobareru (to be called / invited), shikarareru (to be scolded), homerareru (to be praised), nusumareru (to be stolen), plus himitsu (a secret), jitensha (a bicycle), and ame ni furareru (to be rained on), all in one very long, dramatic school day.
