I’ve recently written about some good animes to watch right now and the best anime on Netflix. This time, I’ll provide you with a list of anime that you can watch during your downtime.


It’s never too much for an anime fan to have another list of MUST watch anime series or anime shows. These suggestions of popular anime are sure to satisfy your cravings for nonstop entertainment.

One Piece


“When you’re hungry, eat!”. Anime fans can attest to how great this anime is. It’s like everybody knows One Piece and have even probably watched it.



I’ve been watching One Piece for a few years now and I’ve even picked up some of the best pick up lines from Luffy. It’s probably one of the anime series that I’d watch and rewatch again. The anime starts slow but overall, the adventures in the series keep watchers engaged and interested. The storyline is unsurprisingly incredible.


Boruto: The Next Generation Naruto


I only considered watching Boruto because of Naruto but after watching it for a while, I’ve come to love it.

It centres on Boruto, Uzumaki Naruto’s son. Boruto wishes to become a powerful ninja, just like his father and his role model, Uchiha Sasuke.



But things are not that easy especially if you’re the son of the Hokage.

After a while of watching it, you’ll be quite fascinated by how the story evolves and the characters grow. It’s not totally on par with Kishimoto’s Naruto but it still is an undisputedly great series to watch. Especially if you still haven’t had enough of Naruto.


Naruto


I grew up with Naruto along with other anime series, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Hunter x Hunter, Fairy Tail, One Piece, Doraemon. These animes are the reason why I had a fun and colourful childhood.




If you have not watched Naruto, perhaps you’d want to consider watching it now. It’s still on the list of anime shows that are worth watching right now because it’s one of the greatest anime that was ever produced and it still is. The story is great, the characters are all effective and the plot really carried the entire series throughout.


Fairy Tail


No, I don’t watch this series because of the naked girls (maybe just a bit). This series is actually pretty amazing.



I’ve watched this since childhood and I’ve learned a lot of lessons that I am now applying in my life. Never give up, value friendship, and keep on fighting for what is right. It’s a feel-good anime. One that people need right now during these very trying times.


Attack on Titan


This one is not for the weak-hearted. It’s gut-wrenching and overly bloody. Personally, I would only want to watch this when I’m feeling absolutely great or violent (Haha).



But, people really love this series. It’s action-filled with a touch of bloodiness. Overall, it's a great show to watch, one that you should add to your collection of must-watch anime shows.


Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba


Whenever I write something about must-watch shows, this series is always included. And you can easily agree because the show is a total bomb! Unarguably, the series is among the best anime series of all time. It’s got gleaming visuals, a riveting story and among some of the most appealing characters.



A total package! Although some of the stories in the series could get kind of repetitive, it is still carried through by the various characters that are being introduced throughout.


Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic


It kind of gets boring when you watch action or fantasy series all the time so Kaguya-sama: Love is War - Ultra Romantic is an excellent icebreaker.



It’s a mix of fun and hilarious entertainment. I kind of liked the rivalry between Shinomiya and Shirogane. The show isn’t heavy. It’s in fact very light and full of laughter. So if you’re looking for something to lighten up the mood, this is the perfect show to watch during your downtime.


Odd Taxi


This slice of life anime series is surprisingly mature in every sense. A totally great ride! *wink*.




I’ve watched a few episodes of this show and I can say, the show is definitely relatable and engrossing. The more you watch the shows, the more questions cross your mind which in turn makes you want to watch more episodes.


My Hero Academia

If you’re into shounen animes, then you should definitely watch Boku no Hero Academia. It’s a combination of comedy, fantasy and a whole lot of fun battles and adventures.



The series is entirely a fresh spin on a genre that’s overloaded with tropes and I’m sure you will come to love it.


Jujutsu Kaisen


Aside from the very interesting story, the characters in the show are all lovely. The main character, Itadori Yuuji is a very talented student who keeps on breaking world records.



The anime has remarkable animations and the touch of horror in the show added to the liveliness of the show.


Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid

If you want to sit back and relax while having a good laugh, I suggest you watch this show. The characters are very funny and the entire show is ultimately wholesome.




I remember watching this series and there was never a dull moment. My stomach hurt from laughing too much.



Whether you’re looking for nonstop entertainment or just something to pass the time, it’s always a good thing to turn to anime shows. They’re 100% sure to bring you to another world filled with comedy, drama, fantasy and adventure.
