You’re not a real anime fan if you don’t know what the most popular anime is. It’s the ultimate requirement for you to become a devotee and you can’t afford to miss it. So if you are a huge fan of anime, you MUST read this.
Since there are so many animes that are so good, we can’t honestly choose which one is the most popular because almost all of them are. So instead of just giving you one, I’ve picked 4 of the most famous anime shows that you can watch or just take a look at.
I’m not just talking about the most famous anime in 2021 or 2022. I’m talking about the most popular anime of ALL time.
4 Popular Anime of All Time
I’ve been an anime fan for a long time now and I’ve watched numerous anime since then and until now, I’m still looking for anime shows to see. In my years as an anime addict, I’ve probably watched some of the most popular anime series and movies.
Whether you’re a long-time fan or a noob, these anime series are sure to keep you entertained throughout. Here is the list of anime shows that are all the rage.
Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball is definitely on top of this list. From the fighting and the humour of the characters, you will surely get hooked on this anime series.
Dragon Ball follows Goku, a young lad who inhabits inside the woods. He had no company or friends before and often keeps to himself. Until one day, a young girl stumbles into the woods looking for seven (7) mystical Dragon Balls.
Since the series started in 1986 until 1989, the quality of the art and animation is not that exceptional compared to what we are used to now. But one thing that I can assure you is that the show is definitely entertaining. Most fight scenes are not that long so it won’t bore you to death.
The series isn’t just all seriousness and stuff.
There’s a lot of fun going on so you’re also sure to get a good laugh every now and then. It’s already on its 9th season with over 153 episodes (and counting) so if you want to catch you, now is the perfect time to start watching.
Naruto
Who doesn’t even know Naruto? It’s like, everyone knows or have heard of it even just once. Naruto is the reason why I once dreamt of being a ninja.
If you’re looking for a mix of action, adventure, comedy and fantasy, you’re on the right track coz Naruto has all of that for you.
Following the story of Uzumaki Naruto, a young mischievous boy whose dream is to become a Hokage.
Uzumaki Naruto is the son of the 4th Hokage, the yellow flash of the Leaf Village who died saving Konoha from the demon fox’s rampage. Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina sacrificed their lives to seal the demon fox inside the body of a baby boy (who is Naruto).
Growing up without a family, Uzumaki Naruto was subjected to hatred and discrimination from the villagers all because they knew he had the Kyuubi inside him.
His determination, love for friendship and comic nature are extraordinary. It’s inspiring how one little boy was able to pass all of those challenges that he encountered.
Slowly, he was able to reach his goals with the help of his friends and mentors who believed in him.
One Piece (1999)
"Are We Friends? Or Are We Foes? That Kind Of Thing You Decide Yourselves!". This line is probably one of the lines that make me want Monkey D. Luffy more.
Can you imagine having a body with a rubber-like structure? Every part of your body can stretch to a certain extent.
You won’t have to worry if you get shot by a gun because chances are, it would either bounce back or stretch.
That is the case with Luffy, a young pirate boy who accidentally ate a Devil Fruit and gained a rubber-like body structure.
He and his crew, Straw Hat Pirates explore the world and the vast ocean for a treasure called “One Piece” in hopes of becoming the next pirate king.
Almost every anime addict knows One Piece. It’s already on its 20th season with over 1005 episodes.
It’s a fantastic anime series with silly characters but at the same time, full of sense. Especially with the bond and friendship that the entire Straw Hat Pirates have.
Pokemon (1997)
Even after 24 years, I can say that Pokemon or Pocket Monsters are still in. Even the game Pokemon Go became a hit after its release. I still play it every now and then when I’m not too busy with my things.
Pokemon is an anime series based on a manga of the same name. It was first aired on April 1, 1997, and has now over 1,115 episodes in total.
It follows the story of a young boy, Ash Ketchum, who aspires to become a Pokemon master. He was entrusted with a pokemon, Pikachu but things didn’t quite go as how he hoped they would because Pikachu didn’t trust him and would often hit him with electric powers.
Their friendship started flourishing when Ash saved Pikachu from an angry group of Spearows and Pikachu saw just how much Ash truly cares.
I basically grew up with Pokemon. Every morning, I would go to a neighbour’s house just so I could watch the series. It’s something I look forward to every single day.
The friendship that Ash and Pikachu formed is something that I would also want to have with my friends.
